OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AT GEMLİK GÜBRE

As Gemlik Gübre; Believing that sustainable development is only possible in a healthy and safe business environment, we continue our development in line with the goal of eliminating risks or reducing them to an acceptable level based on our risk assessment studies in all our operational processes.

Occupational Health and Safety Compliance:

• All employees fully comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
• Everyone in the workplace receives the necessary training to understand and apply occupational health and safety standards.

Risk Assessment and Management:

• Periodic risk assessments are carried out to identify potential risks in the workplace.
• Efforts are underway to effectively manage the identified risks, to eliminate them or to reduce them to an acceptable level.

Work Equipment & Environment:

• All work equipment is regularly checked and maintained to ensure safe use.
• The workplace environment is constantly improved for the health and safety of employees.

Emergency Preparedness:

• In order to be prepared for emergencies in the workplace and to increase emergency awareness, employees are trained on the subject and emergency drills are carried out.

Occupational Health and Safety Performance Monitoring:

• Occupational health and safety performance is monitored regularly and evaluated with the vision of continuous improvement.

• Improvement opportunities are identified and efforts are underway to take action quickly.

Everyone's Responsibility:

• Occupational health and safety is not only the responsibility of managers or a particular department. Every employee is obliged to contribute to occupational health and safety. It is our shared responsibility to maintain and develop a safe working environment.


9 GOLDEN RULES

1 - WORK PERMIT
We do not initiate any activities that require permission, such as entering closed areas, working at height, working with fire and excavation, without making a risk assessment together with the relevant unit chief and taking the necessary precautions and issuing a permit form.
2 - UNSAFE SITUATIONS AND BEHAVIORS
We care about the safety of ourselves, our colleagues and everyone who has access to our site. It is the duty of all of us to intervene and stop unsafe situations. We immediately report all unsafe situations and near misses.
3 - ORDER
We always keep the work area clean and tidy.
4 - TOOL AND EQUIPMENT USE
We do not disable any activities that require permission, such as entering closed areas, working at heights, hot work and excavation, and the security systems and apparatus of the equipment. In case of malfunction, we inform authorized personnel.
5 - MOBILE VEHICLES AND DRIVING SAFETY
We care about the safety of ourselves, our colleagues and everyone who has access to our site. We do not use any vehicle or mobile equipment for which we are not authorized and licensed. We comply with speed limits and other traffic rules inside and outside the factory, safe loading and unloading procedures, safe approach distances to vehicles.
6 - LIFTING AND CARRYING LOADS
Before all lifting activities, we check that equipment and apparatus are in proper condition. We do not stand or walk under suspended loads.
7 - SECURING (LOCK OUT TAG OUT)
We do not carry out any activities that require permission such as entry to confined spaces, working at height, fireworks and excavation, maintenance, repair, cleaning, assembly, etc. on any unit and/or equipment whose energy (all energy types) has not been cut off and secured properly.
8 - MANAGEMENT OF CHANGE
We care about the safety of ourselves, our colleagues and everyone who has access to our site. Any change in the production process is carried out with the knowledge and approval of the management. We do not make any changes without information and authorisation. In case of unplanned changes, we immediately inform the management. All changes require a review of the risk assessment.
9 - PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
In the work area and/or while carrying out any activity, we make full use of personal protective equipment in accordance with the standard and work risks.
